What is Minimum Quantity Lubrication?

Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) or near-dry machining is a narrow stream of atomized lubrication that lubricates the cutting tool without creating a mist. MQL dramatically reduces fluid use, replacing gallons of coolant with just a few ounces of renewable lubricant. MQL not only reduces fluid use and saves money, but improves tool life, promotes cleaner shops, and eliminates the need for fluid circulation, treatment and disposal.
